Eric Devendorf’s sixth annual turkey giveaway in Syracuse brings hope to underserved families

SYRACUSE, N.Y. — Six years ago, Eric Devendorf started his first turkey giveaway in the back of the rescue mission by giving away 100 to 150 turkeys.

Now in its sixth year, they are giving up to 450 turkeys at the Boy and Girls Club in Syracuse to underserved families in Syracuse.

“It’s an incredible feeling to be able to not only help people who need it but also bring all these like-minded people together to help out the community they’re involved in,” said Devendorf.
