Tell Me Something Good: Time To Pay It Forward

SYRACUSE, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) — The last thing Joey Bearup needed as he entered his teen years was Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. All he wanted to do was to play some hoops and hang with his friends.

Make-A-Wish Central New York pulled in support from Barrett Paving and Atlas Fence and got a hoop put up in Joey’s backyard. It really helped his recovery.

Joey is a 15-year-old now and two years cancer-free. And he’s pulling together a benefit basketball game to raise money to grant another kid’s wish.
